I became involved with the Alzheimer's Association in 2002 in honor of my father who started showing cognitive decline in his late 60's. He passed at the age of 88 after spending 8 years in assisted living.
I have seen first hand the significant impact of this dreaded disease.
In 2024, there are over 7 million people with Alzheimer's, or other dementia, and another 14 million family caregivers.
This dread disease is costly and is the 6th leading cause of death...it kills more people than prostrate and breast cancer combined.
Funds raised through our Walks support:
Research: In 2024, over $400 million for 1100+ projects in 53 countries.
Free services and support including a 24/7 Helpline and local support through Association Chapters throughout the U.S.
Now's the time to act. Donate to my Walk to Win team and help me achieve my Social media goal of $5,000.
Your consideration and support is needed and would be appreciated.
Thanks and stay well.
