My name is Mo and I am walking in honor of my Mom, Patricia Ann Richelieu (PAR). Mom was diagnosed several years ago and is being cared for by some amazing people in a private home. Before her change of address, my Dad Ron, with the help of my sisters helped to care for mom. In 2023, my amazing Friend Carin approached me around the time of my birthday this year and wanted to surprise me with something meaningful. Carin sponsored my registration for Team MoGo-PAR and the rest is history! We are looking to expand (double) our team this year from 7 to 14 or beyond! So grab a buddy and get registered and walk with us on October 19th. There is a 1 mile and a 3 mile course. My personal story is this. Alzheimer's sucks. Seeing your loved one slowly lose connection with you is hard. They call it the long goodbye. On days when I have trouble remembering things I worry that it will happen to me. My goal is to help support research so a day not too far off in the future, families will not have to endure this non-discriminating, unfair, hateful disease called Alzheimers. I hope that you can support Team MoGo-PAR for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Please join me for a few hours of fun, laughter and friendship. And yes, this is rain or shine so raincoat up buttercup! Love, Mo
