We as a family are walking in the honor of our late mother/grandmother Leola Belle Wilson who passed away in late October 2015. We are continuing our walk again this year as a family. She came home to live with us and we all became her caretaker for the first year. It was heartbreaking for us to all watch her slowly lose all her memories and be so scared of not knowing her surroundings, even though she was with her family who loved her very much. It was a very hard battle for her and for us. She was a very free spirited, independent, passionate and fierce woman in life, she never let anyone hold her back and she always spoke her mind no matter what. Always willing to help anyone who asked for help, from getting a recommendation letter, getting some advice to getting a job, she was always willing to help. She lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment of just living. The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
