I have volunteered at the Jewish Home for the Aged in San Francisco (http://jhsf.org/) and at the Reutlinger Community for Jewish Living in Danville (http://www.rcjl.org/). I currently sit on the Board of Directors of At Home with Growing Older (https://athomewithgrowingold.com/), a non-profit organization that helps individuals age successfully in their homes, and DayBreak Adult Day Centers (http://daybreakcenters.org/), a non-profit that helps connect seniors and adults with disabilities access adult community based services .
I have seen the effects of Alzheimer's disease first hand. It leaves people without the ability to care for themselves and can ultimately lead to their death. Without proper care and supervision they can pose a danger to themselves and others. It is so hard to watch your loved ones disappear before your very eyes. It is something no one should ever experience and with the research supported by the Alzheimer's Association it could be eliminated in our lifetime.
I find it important to give back to the elderly in our community any way I can. For many years I have felt strongly about issues affecting the elderly, Alzheimer's being one of my focuses. Please join me in the fight against Alzheimer's disease and donate today.
