Dear Family and Friends,
Thank you for generously supporting the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's for so many years. This year's ALZ Walk in Santa Cruz will be held on Saturday September 23. The event is held to bring awareness and to raise funds for Alzheimer's care, support, and research.
We remember and honor our loved ones who passed as well as others who are currently afflicted. We cherish the memories of Tanya Jitloff, our Mama, Baba/Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Natasha Pizarev, her sister-in-law, my dear aunt. We walk in honor of my dear friend's mother, Cheryl Ann Parsons, and a friend Mark Moriconi. So many friends are sharing their story of recently diagnosed loved ones and their concerns about the struggles that lie ahead. This is why I'm so passionate about fighting the disease and why I continue to Walk every year.
- Blue — I have Alzheimer's.
- Yellow — I am supporting or caring for someone with Alzheimer's.
- Purple — I have lost someone to Alzheimer's.
- Orange — I support the cause and a vision of a world without Alzheimer's
One day we will see a White Flower in the garden – to be carried by the first survivor!!
I pray that one day in the very near future there will be an announcement of a cure for those afflicted with the disease and prevention for everybody else. All donations benefit the Alzheimer's Association and every dollar makes a difference, promotes research, and gets us closer to prevention and a cure.
If you would like to make a secure, tax-deductible donation please connect to my fundraising page:
