Chris and Dave (until his passing from Alzheimer's in November 2016) have been among my closest friends for more than 50 years. The Dave I remember was full of life, fun loving and always eager to pursue new adventures. Alzheimer's took that away from him. As I watched the Dave I knew leave us, I saw first hand the cruelty of the disease. I am walking to honor Dave and all the others who have seen their lives destroyed by this horrible disease.
