This year, I'll have walked in Walk to End Alzheimer's events across four states and three time zones. In some capacity, I'll have served as the lead staff for 18 events and attended several more events to help support Walk Day. It's a fun journey that I wouldn't change -- all to raise funds, hope, and awareness for those facing Alzheimer's and dementia.
As many of you know, Alzheimer's and dementia runs through my family. I have several Aunts that have been impacted by the disease, as well as my grandmother. I choose to participate in memory of them, and I choose to participate for all of the stories I've collected over the years through incredible volunteers, donors, and supporters. Each of those stories so unique and powerful, but ultimately with the same outcome. With two new FDA-approved treatments, and a third on the horizon, there has never been a better time to continue the fight to #ENDALZ.
I encourage you to join me by making a donation to my page or to register to be on my team at act.alz.org/goto/ALZintoENDALZ. Every dollar raised helps to fuel critical care, support, and research through the Alzheimers Association on behalf of the 6 million Americans living with Alzheimers and dementia.
