These funds make it possible for the Association to provide critical programs for patients and families impacted by dementia and to promote risk reduction and a brain healthy lifestyle. Additionally, the Association has partnered with health systems and primary care providers across the country to identify and implement best practices in early detection, diagnosis and ongoing care.

Did you know? Half of all people with dementia are never diagnosed and of those who are diagnosed, half are never told of their diagnosis.  The numbers are even more concerning in communities of color. The Association is committed to improving the detection of cognitive impairments and breaking down the barriers that keep diverse and rural communities from receiving Alzheimer’s and dementia education, care and support services.
