I am walking to honor three important women in my life - my mother-in-law, Theresa Marie Cyr Libby; my grandmother, Helen Dorothy Matson Mufic; and my Mom, Catherine Frances Mufic Vrbanac. All three of them had dementia in later life. These three women were always strong and an inspiration to me, so now I want to honor their memory and work towards finding a cure for Alzheimer's.

In the nearly 10 years since I have been doing the WALK, I have come to know of so many people who have Alzheimer's or various other forms of dementia. The parents of friends, the spouses of friends, high school friends, former coworkers - the list just continues to expand. Now I walk for all of them and well as the millions of others with my MemoryZ Matter Team. The good news is that there is more hope than ever with new treatments and medications available, and more intricate and unique research being done. We aren't there yet though, so I urge you to join me to raise awareness and money in the effort to improve the care, treatment, support programs and further research to end the agony of Alzheimer's and all dementias. Please join me in this critical fight! I can assure you that participating in the WALK will be one of the best Saturday mornings of your life!
