Unfortunately, Alzheimer's has affected both sides of our family. Tim's Dad was diagnosed in the early 2000's and died in 2014. My Dad was diagnosed first with Mild Cognitive Impairment in 2014 and then ultimately died from Alzheimer's in 2022. It was a long and tough journey for them and our extended family. It's not the end of the story though as this disease could be passed on to us, the offspring, and as well our children with no known cure in sight. Advancements have been made and we would like to see a cure in our lifetime. To continue that effort we are participating in this year's Walk to End Alzheimer's. We are hoping to continue to raise awareness and funds to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
