The Medical and Public Health Subcommittee of the API Social Work Council of Northern CA is dedicated to addressing medical and public health disparities impacting our local and global communities with particular attention to marginalized and oppressed API populations. We recognize the unique challenges that API communities face when it comes to Alzheimer's, which is why we are walking for our 6th consecutive year!
We're also excited to announce that we're offering another FREE Webinar Training in collaboration with the Alzheimer's Association! This will be a unique, grant-funded, two part professional training on Building Dementia-Capable Care for the LGBTQ+ Community in San Francisco City and County. Training will led by esteemed Community Engagement Manager and Research Champion, Dr. Xiaorong Ou and includes key considerations for API populations as well as a multi-lingual(English, Mandarin, and Cantonese) Q&A!
