I am lucky to be going through my life with a healthy brain, to have only glimpsed dementia in my family in a single conversation and not a long drawn out emotionally devastating and financially crippling battle, and to be able to call the Alzheimer's Association my work family as I channel my professional energies to this important mission.
My dad had polio as a child, yet growing up I never had to fear that disease - my goal is to be part of the action that does the same for Alzheimer's disease, using the power of community to relegate ALZ to the history books.
