About 9 years ago my dad (pops) was diagnosed with dementia that has progressed over time...with that being said, time, memories and heartfelt moments will have faded from my dad's thoughts...March of 2019, our family suffered the loss of our mom to an unexpected diagnosis of cancer, my dads primary caregiver, wife of 47 years and my two nephews grandmother. I'll do anything I can to enjoy the time with my dad whom is all I have left. I pray daily a cure is found...It breaks my heart to see my dad go through this and what will be inevitable BUT I must cherish the memories I have and will continue to make with my pops! I dont talk about it much and dont express myself because its not really me. I am a person who believes in ACTION, not speaking about it...THIS is a part of my dedication to him...please find the time to show support by some kind words or a donation to help find a remedy to the terrible disease.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R). Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
