Once again, I am participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's because I am committed to raising awareness and funds in the fight against the nation's sixth-leading cause of death.  As many of you know, my mother, Marilyn, passed away in 1991 from early onset Alzheimer's disease.  My dear sister, Marcia, also lost her life in 2015 to this same illness at the age of 66.  The end of Alzheimer's starts with me, but I can't do it alone.  I am forming my team again this year, "Golden Goldberg's", in memory of my mother and sister.  Please join my team, walk with Bill and I, and help us to raise donations to fund research and eradicate this awful disease.  As many of you may know, I am having health issues this year. I truly appreciate every single day that we are healthy and reminded that health can be taken away in an instant. This self-awareness of vulnerability has made me more than determined than ever to walk this coming October.  Gratitude is my word of the year, and I am grateful for all of my friends and family . You are all so precious in my life.  

 The walk is scheduled to be held Sunday, October 20, 2024 and we are planning on an in-person walk . Once again, I am hoping to be the #1 or #2 team in the San Fernando Valley, both in number of walkers and amount of donations raised. This should be a pleasant, safe 2 mile walk.

In 2023, a new drug was approved by the FDA marking decades of scientific progress.  In 2024, there are 171 ongoing studies and 134 drugs begin tested in clinical trials.  This disease does not stop and we need to find a cure. There are many advances being made due to generous donors such as yourself.
