My name is Danielle, but you might know me as Lavonda Rocks, Long Beach's Walking DJ! This October, I am embarking on a The Walk To End Alzheimers.  I'll be doing a walking DJ set in honor of my late mother, Maralyn.  The walk is 2.5 miles in my hometown of Long Beach.

This cause is deeply personal to me. My mother passed away in May 2016 after many years of having this dreadful disease.  In her honor, I am dedicating this walk to her memory and to everyone affected by this devastating disease.

My mother was such a beautiful soul who loved laughing, dancing, and music. I imagine her watching my walking DJ sets and grooving with me while flashing her million dollar smile. I will be live streaming the event and spreading all the good vibes I can to the other walkers on October 26,

Every donation, no matter how small or large, will help me reach my goal of $2500. Every step I take and ever song I play will be in memory of my mother and in support of this crucial cause.
