Beach. My lovely mother spent the remaining 3 1/2 years of her life as a resident. They helped guide me as my mothers advocate in the best possible directions for her care. They were literally in the room with me as she left this world for heaven during the Christmas holidays.
Now, eight months later, my husband is in their care as he is seven years into his Alzheimer's journey. I couldn't possibly find a more welcoming and caring team.
Always his wife, I was able to go from being his full-time caregiver back to being his outside support and advocate. We both have his back now... and was an amazing relief for me to share this honor.
Alzheimer's isn't stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, I'm raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease - funds that allow the Alzheimer's Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
