I am walking in honor of my loving mother. I lost my mother in 2014 at the age of 86 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Even with this disease she was always a cheerful person and everyone at the facilites loved her. As she went through the various stages and we had to move her she stayed cheerful and she was always a trooper. I was very fortunate to have a very supported family through this difficult time. Alzheimer’s reminds us to cherish the present moment, for tomorrow may be different.
