Hello friends and family,

This year the Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be in Tucson on Saturday, 10/19/24.  I want to thank Susan’s brother, John Schmelke for organizing last year’s team.  John has supported me from day 1 in caring for his sister/my wife along with supporting the effort to fight this disease that has inflicted his sister, mother and step-mother.

John has returned the Team Captain reins to me this year yet will continue to be an active team participant. Please join John and me in this year’s walk and mark/save the date 10/19/24. In mid September I will send walk instructions to all participants who have registered to walk with the “Many Fond Memories” team.  Whether you can or cannot join us for the walk on 10/19, please seriously consider making a donation to the “Many Fond Memories” team on behalf (research, support) of the one in six people who will be diagnosed with some form of dementia in their lifetime.  Our team’s fundraising goal for the 2024 Walk is  $4,000 and I am confident, as with every year we can achieve that goal.
