Welcome to our team page for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®!  This Walk is the largest event to raise funds and awareness for the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®. It’s held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, and our team is excited to participate this year. 

Currently, more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's and over 11 million family and friends provide their unpaid care. 

Several of us here at Money Wise Retirement Planning have personal experience with loved ones battling Alzheimer's and other dementias and we have had and continue to have clients who either have or are caring for a loved one afflicted with this cruel and unrelenting disease.

If this horrible disease has not touched you, consider yourself lucky.  Imagine your mother, father, brother, sister, or spouse slowly losing themselves and their abilities to communicate, show expression, or handle simple daily duties such as preparing food, driving, or bathing.  

They no longer recognize their children, remember their past, or know what's going on in the world around them.  It's nothing less than heartbreaking. No one ever thinks they will be in this position and yet, many are.
