I supported the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® last year for the first time. This was done in honor of my mother, Frances “Frankie” Gay, who suffered with dementia. She passed away in 2021. To me, dementia is a very cruel disease as it took away the woman that we all knew and loved.
A $2000 goal was set last year and I had no idea of what would happen. We were able to blow past that number and raised over $4500. This was remarkable and I am very appreciative of the support. A new goal has been set for this year - $5000. I am asking not only for your monetary support but also for you to join my team or even better to create your own team to support the effort to end Alzheimer's.
I thank you for your support and look forward to the day that we do not have to talk about Alzheimer's anymore.
