On June 26, 2020, our dad”s battle with Alzheimer's was finally over after an almost 10 year fight. We will miss him but are celebrating his new whole heavenly mind and body. With God’s peace, we will continue on until we can join him.
In November of 2022, we began heading down a very different path with mom, but in some ways very much the same. Mom had a small stroke that affected her cognitive functions and was no longer able to live on her own. I never thought mom would be walking down this path, but she is and we are so thankful that the Alzheimer's Association includes "all other forms of Dementia" in their goal.
So many of our friends have family also facing this disease. Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide,
You never know when your life will be touched by this terrifying disease. Please help me make 'A Walk To Remember" a part of the finding the cure!!!!
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
