""She's always been everybody's mom. She's in charge; she's the boss". It was unfathomable that her mother, the strongest, most fun-loving person she knew, would no longer be able to organize camping trips, fix electrical outlets, or listen to everyone's problems. She was the center of their world." The Inheritance (Kapsambelis 261)
5 years ago Alzheimer's Disease took my mom's life at the young age of 56. Since then my mission to help find a cure has not waivered and this August I started my 7th year in a clinical drug trial designed to prevent the disease from ravaging the brain. This world wide ground breaking research is funded by The Alzheimer's Association and today possibly you.
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither am I. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide financial support to accelerate research advances that could save my life, save someone in your family and potentially change the course of the disease for millions affected by Alzheimer's. Over the past decade I have dedicated my time and body, just as my mother did, to help researchers develop and advanced potential treatments to prevent this terrible disease.
What actions are you taking?
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Many Thanks from my family to you!
See you September 17th at 9am at Optimist Park.
