Did you know that over 6,000,000 people have Alzheimer's and that there over 11,000,000 caregivers? Right now, there are no cures for the disease; however, there are promising research projects and I believe that cure will be found.
My dad and grandmother had Alzheimer's and it is very a difficult disease for the ones with the disease as well as the caregivers. It has to be a very scary disease for those who have it and it is very difficult to watch a loved one go through it. The Alzheimer's Association has valuable resources available to help both those with the disease and caregivers. They also have counseling and 24/7 helpline and website. If you or someone you know needs assistance, please encourage them to use the resources.
Together, I believe we will STOP Alzheimer's.
