Dementia has touched my life in many ways over the past several years as friends and some of our family members have been diagnosed with Frontotemporal lobe dementia (FTL), Pick’s disease, Global Dementia, and Alzhiemer’s... just a few of the dementias that have impacted people I know and love. I am raising funds in hopes that my treasured friends and family members can one day have a cure for ALL DEMENTIAS, including FTL and Alzheimer's. I walk for a future FREE of all dementias!
I'm leading the way to Dementia and Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. For the sixth consecutive year, my amazing friend, Cindy Woods, and myself are serving as co-captains for team Strides of Hope. The walk is Saturday, October 8th, in Martinsburg. It is a walk suitable for all ages and fitness levels. We would love for you to join our walk team. Registration is free and easy. Perhaps you can’t participate in the Walk to End Alzhiemer’s, but you still want to support the walk and the Alzheimers Association? Please consider making a donation (online, in person, or mailed). Donations are tax deductible. Even $1 gets us closer to a cure!
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
