I'm walking for my best friend, Grandma Barb. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's roughly in 2010 and battled all the way until the end; we lost her on July 30th, 2019. The hardest part for our family was to see her deteriorate slowly over time and realize that it is never going to get better. I am walking to help find a cure for this disease so my daughters do not have to see me lose my memory or be able to care for myself any longer. I do not want to put the burden onto my children. Let's fight this monster together!

Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
