Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, we are raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Along with several Grandparents, who we have lost, we watch Mom battle this nasty disease and we are looking for hope. Every visit we Hope she recognizes a voice, face or story. Some visits we need to settle for a smile or a laugh. We are incredibly grateful for Dad being able to visit and Kelly and Kenzie being relatively close by for visits. Mike and I are there as much as we can, but our hearts break as we see Mom slipping away with every visit. We fight so hopefully our kids will not have to hold their breath as they walk in a room, hoping and praying their Wife/Mom/Gramma knows who they are. We all appreciate you support and are grateful for each of you.
