I joined the Walk to End Alzheimer's to honor the memory of my mother, Ruth Koenig.  Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's about a year before she passed away.  We watched mom slowly deteriorate unto she finally lost the battle and passed away.  As an Elder Law Attorney I helped families work through dementia issue, but it never hits you until you face dementia with a loved one.  Now it real to me and because of what we have gone through I am able to help more families as they walk a similar path.

I walk to honor my mom and as a way to thank her for all she's done for me over the years, and I walk to support finding a cure for this dreadful disease.  I love you mom, and can't wait to see you again when we are reunited in Heaven!
