I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's.

My first experience with Alzheimer's disease was with my great grandma Edna. I watched the disease slowly change who she was until she no longer could identify us. When we would visit she would say, they're mine!” That warmed my heart to see she knew we loved her and she loved us.

I've cared for, supported and educated many families affected by Alzheimer's disease and other dementias since my first experience with my great grandma Edna. Over this time I have been deeply affected by the many people that have come into my life. Each person has taught me a lesson and I carry a piece of each of them with me.
