I am walking to honor my Mother and Godfaher who we lost to Alzheimers, and in support of my cousin and his wonderful wife/caregiver.

In 2003 my family lost my Godfather to Alzheimer's.

 In 2009 my Mother came to live with us after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. After three years I experienced the hardest decision I ever had to make. We could no longer provided the care Mother needed and had to place her in a nursing home. 

2013 my Mother lost her battle with Alzheimer’s. 

My cousin has since been diagnosed.

This is a very devastating disease. If you or someone you love have not been affected, I pray you never are!

I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
