My Mom passed away four years ago after a seven-year decline. It was important to my Dad that my Mom was able to remain in her home. So, our family of nine siblings got together to provide support and help. It was heart breaking to hear my mother ask to go home while she sat in the very kitchen where she had made so many, many family meals. The Alzheimer’s Association was important in providing current information to care for her as her needs changed. I continue to connect with The Alzheimer’s Association so that we all can understand and support those we may know and those we may see in our community and ultimately to find a cure.
