I am leading Memory Joggers for our 20th year in the Walk to End Alzheime'rs. I began this team in memory of my Mom, Alice Greenwood, who passed away from complications of Alzheimer's on July 9, 2008. She fought hard, but finally lost to an evil disease, Alzheimer's. Not a day goes by that I don't miss our breakfast talks or seeing her reach out to touch me when she could no longer talk or walk.
In the past year, my nephew-in-law's and niece-in-law's lost their Moms, Delores Bauman and Donna Yineman, to Alzheimer's and Dementia. This past year we said good bye to Betty Hinds and Rose Verrilli, both very beautiful women inside and out, to complications of Dementia. I am very sad to add to this list George Demos, the brother-in-law of a dear friend and long time supporter, Ginney McAdams.
Who do you know who was, or is now affected by Alzheimer's? Who do you need to help?
Progress is made each and every day, yet the treatment and cure have not been found. We can and will win, but not without your help.
Join Memory Joggers in the fight. If you can't join, please make a donation. We're making a difference each and every day. Let's win!
