I lost my Dad to the complications of Alzheimer's Disease in 2015, and then just three months later, his sister passed away from the same disease. Watching someone suffer from dementia is life-changing.  I want to see an end to this terrible illness that robs so many people of their later years, their quality time with loved ones, and their dignity. I want to see the first survivor, not just in my lifetime, but soon! 

Alzheimer's is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S., and it is the only disease among the top 10 causes of death that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed.
