My mom, Laneeda Lucero, passed away in early 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Her life was far too short, but she lived it fully and with kindness and grace. She had a smile and laugh that brightened every room.  

Laneeda loved to travel and had a saying for when the weather was gloomy and threatened to ruin a good travel day: “Let's just enjoy the rain.” This little phrase became her travel motto and, eventually, the Lucero family motto. Rain or shine, I'll be participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in her honor!
