I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions and keep my mother's memory alive.. She was greats a supporter of event like this during her lifetime. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support.

My mother passed away from Alzheimer Disease in 2011.I was one of her caregivers and witnessed first hand the devastation of this terrible disease. When you have a family member with Alzheimer Disease, you start grieving their loss long before they leave this earth. It is disease that robs not only the sufferer but family and friends of time.

We are getting closer and closer to developing way to treating this disease and one day, either preventing or stopping this killer in it's tracks. With continued support such as this "Walk", this can become a reality in our lifetimes. I was a recent fundraiser where almost everyone in the room admitted to being touched directly by Alzheimer Disease in some manner. 

Every year more and more Americans are diagnosed with Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.

I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's.  For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
