Alzheimer's / dementia is something that has impacted my and my family's life directly. I will never forget how this disease takes little by little of the people you know and love. It's hard to talk about, but so many others have been impacted as well. This will continue to happen as long as there is no cure for Alzheimer's.
We're leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
My Tri-Cities family and friends are walking with me to help raise money for research to find a cure. We're walking in memory of my Grandaddy and walking in support of my Grandpa, who is currently facing dementia. One of my greatest sadnesses is that my daughter Ellie never had a chance to meet my Grandaddy, but she will be walking with us for him and for her Great Grandpa because I want her to be informed and support finding a cure.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
