I am very late in the game this year posting for the annual Alzheimer's walk. I will not be walking this year because of a scheduling conflict but I am going to give this a shot and see if I can raise some money for my incredible family team (EaganGene Team)that will be out there walking!!

I think I can speak for my entire family when I say it is our passion to raise funds for research to find a cure for this brain destroying disease.

I have learned that this is the first year that the FDA has approved a medication that stops the sticky plaque that causes Alzheimer's from growing on the brain!!!This is incredibly exciting and I feel we are getting close to the cure we are all hoping so deeply to see in our lifetime!

We have lost eight people in our family in a very short amount of time, it did not take generations for this disease to devastate our family. We have felt incredible heartbreak as we've watched our loved ones cry in frustration because they could not communicate with us any longer or carry out their daily tasks. We are always hoping beyond hope that this disease will not show itself in our family after we've suffered the loss of a loved one in the prime of their life but time after time it strikes another.

I am asking all of you to please help further the research by making a donation to this important cause and help us work towards ending this disease that destroys the brain and families in such a horrific way.
