Three of my family members currently have or had Alzheimer's. I recently lost my mom to this horrific disease earlier this year and it has taken such a toll on both sides of my family, it's not something that I would wish on anybody.

I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® and have been for the last eight years since my mom was originally diagnosed. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
