I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's. Currently, more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's or another dementia, and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050.

I am participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s not only to honor my mom, but also for my kids, Kelly and Ryan. I walk in the hopes of finding a cure so that they will not have to deal with this horrible disease and watch their own mother slip away. 

Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association also offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
