This will be my fourteenth Walk to End Alzheimer's! My passion and determination have grown every year.
I support the mission of the Alzheimer's Association: to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia -- by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
In my eleven years working for the Association, I saw how great the needs of all those affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias are, and I came to appreciate the wonderful way the Association steps up meet those needs while funding vital research.
Please give as generously as you feel you can. It is imperative that we continue the search for a cure and effective treatment for this horrible disease, as well as continuing the education and support efforts that provide much-needed help to families and friends of those with the diagnosis.
On behalf of the over 5 million people in the US with Alzheimer's, and their over 15 million caregivers, thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with each of us.
