For 17 years, I had the honor of serving as CEO of the Alzheimer's Association Greater Richmond Chapter.  While I no longer work for the Association, I will always support the work they do on behalf of the 26,000 individuals in our Chapter area with Alzheimer's and their caregivers. 

I am fortunate to have never been personally touched by this devasting disease.  But over my 17 years, I met and worked with many families who are struggling with the day to day challenges.  Alzheimer's is the 6th leading cause of death and the only one of the top ten that does not have a prevention, cure, or even a way to slow the progression.  We do not have Alzheimer's survivors.  The Chapter works hard every day to help caregivers survive.
