I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the 2018 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's™, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I joined the Walk in September 2011 after my mother, Angela Ransom Dunagan died from Dementia. I also lost my uncle, her brother, Bruce Ransom on February 7, 2016. I currently have an aunt, my mother's sister, Florida Wilson Block that is living with the disease. It would seem that this is something hereditary in my family. I will continue to participant each year for the rest of my life. I usually have two teams each year, Shiloh Baptist Church New Site and Target. I hope you will join me and others by donating or volunteering for this wonderful cause to help find a cure for this dreadful disease.
thank you,
