Jimmy Buffet's father, James Delaney Buffet Jr, died from Alzheimer's complications in 2003. Parrot Heads around the country have walked each year since then. Our National Team PHIP (Parrot Heads in Paradise) has raised more than 1 million lifetime dollars for the cause. This is our club's 3rd year to walk together. We are a CHAMPIONSHIP Team on the Leader Board in all 3 categories - National Team/Local Team/Individual Walker. We still walk to honor Jimmy's Dad, but each of us also has a personal connection to Alzheimer's. We walk for those we love, those we've lost, & for a healthier future for our children & grandchildren. Parrot Heads "Party With A Purpose". This walk is part of that Purpose.
