Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease. The Alzheimer’s Association is dedicated to finding prevention methods, treatments, and an eventual cure for the disease.

Alzheimer’s has affected my family personally in many ways. My mother was diagnosed with early on-set Alzheimer’s at the age of 62 and lived with the disease for 10 long difficult years. At the end of her life, she was unable to remember her loved ones, speak, feed herself, or even walk. My maternal and paternal grandmothers both had Alzheimer’s later in life. This is an absolutely heart wrenching disease for everyone touched by it.
