I'm walking in memory of my grandparents, Lester and Lucille Toelke. I witnessed them lose their memory - forget who their own children and grandchildren were. I am walking so that my son will never have to witness his parents or grandparents forget who he is, and he is unforgettable. I can't even begin to imagine a world where I forgot him. This cannot happen. I cannot watch my father face the same fate that his parents did, the buck STOPS HERE.
