Some of my best memories are of spending time with my mama over a nice pot of tea. Quiet time set aside to share knowledge, support, and love. My mama has always been my greatest cheerleader, my best mentor, my strongest supporter. She believed in me when I had lost my way and lost faith in myself. One of the best things she taught me was "Can't never could do nuthin!" It is just heart breaking to have watched this disease slowly rip away my mama's confidence and precious memories. All I have been able to do is give her my time, my love, and treasure every moment I had with her. Another thing I can do is raise money to help fund research to end this terrible disease. I hope you will help me in that, because together we can do this and as mama always said, "Can't never could do nuthin"!
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's, and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
