This disease took my mom, Kathy Clark, after a long eight year battle. It took her mind, her dignity and finally her soul. My dad was her primary care giver. His devotion and sacrifice was God given. He was everything she needed even when she didn't know she needed it. When she failed to recognize her husband of 50 years, dad remained steadfast in his dedication. Dad was so consumed in caring for mom that he neglected his own well-being and passed far too early. This disease is a double-edged sword that cuts the patient and the care givers at the same time.
Please give a little if you can. Give time, money, support or prayers. They all are impactful.
