It ended July 8, 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Beautiful Terrible is the way we talk about it now.  It was the end of Dad's journey - which means Mom's journey; the whole family's journey - through Alzheimers. So many beautifuls like Dad's freedom from brain disease; knowing he is happy, healthy and whole in Heaven; their 59 years together; the legacy of love.

And so many terribles like COVID and COVID in an Alzheimers Memory Care Unit; forced separation form Dad and from each other; the family huddled at the window, separated by screen and masked faces as Dad took his final breaths; missing his bear hugs, his whistling, his singing still today.
