I'm walking in honor of my father-in-law, George Beebe, who passed away in 2014 due to complications from dementia. 

It is astounding how much is not known about dementia - and how helpless it can make you feel when you're trying to care for a loved one. The Alzheimer's Association has been a fantastic resource for me and Jeff, providing us with information on the disease and how to care for someone who has it. It is so helpful to know we are not alone in our struggles and that steps are being taken to understand and end this disease. I'm walking to support the organization that is leading the way in dementia research, and providing resources for people like me and Jeff.

I hope to make a difference for future generations - to empower them with knowledge, treatment, and a cure for dementia of all kinds. Please join me in the fight.
