Bob Jones, I'm participating in honor of my mother, Ena Walsh Jones. Unfortunately, I had to watch ALZ take away the funniest, most gregarious, life of the party, woman I knew. I choose to raise funds to support research and bring this disease to an end. Will you support me?
Kevin Bowman, I do this for my mother, Donna Bowman, and all of the Killian side of my family that have all struggled with Alzheimer's and Dementia. This disease that has ravaged that side of my family and it will until we find a cure.
Alison Whitmire, I do this for my mom, Betty, who had been a strong organizer of the family, supporting my dad and owning Needle on the Square, a knitting and needlework shop and volunteering at school as "the Reading Fairy". Now with Dementia, we decided to help mom stay at home with a dedicated sister, wonderful home caregivers and hospice. At the beginning we tried to tackle every step on our own, it is extremely difficult to be a child and a caregiver. We've passed the defiant period and now try to spend time with her, fortunately the good days still outweigh the bad:))
Please join our walk or make a donation, Together we can end this disease.
