It's happening every day. They take a fist full of vitamins every morning, hit the gym three times a week, and jog. We are losing these loved ones to heart attacks, strokes, and Alzheimer's.
A professional dancer for over 40 years, Lee continued to stay in shape almost obsessively. He did whatever he could to hang onto youth, but was no match for Alzheimer's. I lost him on May 14, 2020 after seven years of this horrible disease. Lee passed away many years younger than his own father, aunts and uncles who lived well into their 90's and beyond.
I want to witness Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Together, we can control and then finally end Alzheimer's disease.
Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight!
